I ran my first long race about a year ago when I went to Washington DC to run the Army ten miler.
I'm going to Las Vegas next week to run my first 1/2 marathon (and take a little mini vacation), and did a ten mile run last Saturday as part of my train up for it.
My time and pace wasn't spectacular, but I ran the entire 10 miles, and was 13 minutes faster than a year ago. All things being said, I feel pretty good about the upcoming race.
Running has been a good, healthy, distraction during the separation and divorce process, so I suppose I should thank my ex for that?
