Running the ball this year

Have we just thrown it more because Ds are playing more guys in the box against us? Do teams spy DW this year? Last year did we not take as many one on ones on the outside? DW has ran the ball way less than last year as well as Gallman. I know the other RBs have had carriers but through 12 games I believe we have ran way less than last year. Is this Ds just trying to stop our run game or coaches trying to save our guys till the championship run?

playing us this year. They are loading up the box to stop the run and daring DW to throw into man coverage. I think that's why we've seen more ints from DW. Our production in terms of yds/run is not that far off from last year. We just haven't been running it as much.

That is what I was thinking. I think if they are going to leave Mike Williams one on one we should go to it everytime. I like taking what the D gives. We do need to be balance but no point in running into a wall.

I also think DW4 has tried to limit his running thru at least the first 10 games to be ready for the Championship run.
And when the D does not have to play for his run….it limits our firepower.
