Running Back

Jan 25, 2013, 8:21 AM

How does everyone feel about our RB position?

I know we got Howard and Hot-Rod that have had meaningful snaps, but do you think we have a 1000 yard guy or will we have a two headed monster that runs for 1000?

I know this, I don't want to see Sammy in the backfield again. Bad memories.

Yes

Jan 25, 2013, 8:37 AM

I think brooks might be the guy just got a feeling about him.

We're friends. You laugh, I laugh. You cry, I cry. You jump off a bridge, I get in my boat and save your retarded a$$.

Seems like Clemson went with "all-in" Tigers at RB this year

Jan 25, 2013, 8:49 AM [ in reply to DYE ]

I don't think we went after the big names hard (ie. A. Kamara)like we usually do because guys like Dye and Gallman committed so early and really seem to bleed orange. They may or may not be studs though. The stud is in next year's class. Dalvin Cook, is potentially a 5 star recruit with elite balance and burst.

Dye is a stud. Wait and see.***

Elijah Hood from Charlotte right there with Cook

The guy has some amazing numbers and they do play against the public schools for good competition.

That fumble did a lot to teach Harper maybe the hard way but he ended up a good back.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

we are weak, not landing Gurley last year hurt, and we will

Jan 25, 2013, 8:49 AM

UI think Hot Rod will be everything we need.

Jan 25, 2013, 8:51 AM

He really came on strong at season's end and expect him to refine his hands for receiving over the spring and summer as Ellington did last year. Watch Hot Rod's hit on LSU's 300 lb lineman # 9. He drove the overgrown putz back two yards. I've not seen a Clemson back who delivers that much on impact in a decade.

DJ will be more than functional in his role too. I love these two and expect some of the younger guys to get time to show off also.

Hot Rod was a top 10 RB coming out of High School

Jan 25, 2013, 10:51 AM

and I know rankings aren't always what they seem, but ever since he has got here he has played behind backs that have all made/will make it to the NFL. When he finally got meaningful PT last year he was pretty good. We didn't get too see much out of Howard this year but he was pretty good i 2011 and the little i've seen from Brooks he looks pretty solid as well.
