Roger Stone sentenced to 40 months in Prison

Feb 20, 2020, 12:39 PM

Judge says, among other things that "Stone was not convicted for speaking up for the President, but rather for covering up for the President."

“There was nothing unfair, phony or disgraceful about the investigation or the prosecution,” Jackson said. “Witnesses do not get to decide for themselves whether Congress is entitled to the facts.”

She also argued Stone’s disregard for the truth should worry all those who care about American democracy.

“The dismay and disgust at the defendant’s belligerence should transcend party,” Jackson said.

Of course Trump and some on the right will consider this an outrage, totally disregarding the rule of law, as usual.

Then why doesn't Barr charge him?

No one can ever explain why Barr doesn't charge Comey, Clinton and a host of people Trump claims are guilty of something, anything.

It's that minor piece of the puzzle that Hannity or Trump can never quite explain.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They do explain it every day.

He'll be let out next week if Trump has his way. The number of people believe that believe the Trump lie that this is all made up is truly astonishing.

"We know he lies, but not about this" has to get old at some point.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You could really say the same thing about yourself.

Feb 20, 2020, 4:14 PM

You know he lies, but he cranks your handle about once a week with something else he says thats probably a lie--or at least an exaggeration.

And you've been letting him do it to you for 3+ years.

Stone isn't a political dissident. He lied to Congress and threatened a witness.

He was convicted on 7 felony counts, none of which had anything to do with free speech.

on some other pretext. always.

This is about Trump. its always been about Trump.

When Iran locks up some American tourist who happens to wander into their country, there is always some heinous law they broke - like lying to the Iranian guard.

Sorry but, everything else being equal, if his bosses name had not been Trump, this case would not have been brought at all.

The information that came out that convicted Stone, his cell records, everything else, came out as a result of a request by Devin Nunes when the HSCI was holding it's original hearings. That's hardly about 'getting Trump'. Not to mention that Stone was indicted and tried by Trump's own Dept. of Justice, not the Dems.

Based on your theory my friend, Trump got himself.

Is there ANYTHING that Trump or his people could do that would be out of bounds for you ?

Please remember that Stone was convicted by a jury of 12 Americans who actually heard the evidence in this case.

What are we up to now?

Campaign chair: felon

Foreign policy adviser: felon
Personal lawyer: felon
National security adviser: felon

3 years and 4 months for 7 felony convictions is harsh? Doesn't seem harsh to me. He could have gotten 20 years. Heck, the DOJ asked for up to 9 years.
