Remember when we beat Bama with DW4 in 2016?
Well the “reason” we won then, was because we ran 99 plays and Bama got...yep, they got “tired”!
What an old excuse, just admit you got beat already...TWICE in 3 years!

99 plays is an awful lot. And I'm certain the 'Bammer defensive players were pooped. Kind of like LSPU in 2012. Last year, they just got their ashes whipped, regardless the number of plays.

Alabama absolutely got tired which is why we won. It's not ESPN making an excuse for Bama losing, it was literally Clemson's strategy. We ran 99 plays specifically to tire them out and be able to win in the 4th quarter like we did.
Every comment by every talking head at ESPN isn't some thinly veiled shot at Clemson as part of some grand conspiracy to disrespect us. Herbie sent his kids to play for Dab for christs sake.

He wasn't implying they were tired because they played a tough schedule, but because they had to defend 99 plays. Any team would be tired having to play that much D. That wasn't an excuse, but just a fact.
