How do we replace Simms and Mack?

Feb 4, 2020, 9:52 PM

Hopefully Hall is the real deal and the kid from Mexico as well. Jemison is going to have to learn how to score. We will have a dang good back court tho. Tyson can play the 4 some but I just don't know if he is athletic enough to be what we need in the ACC.
Who do y'all think will be our starting 5? Maybe we get a transfer.

P.S. I am not giving up on this year just thinking ahead. We need a W tomorrow night.

That's the first I've heard that Simms is expected back for his senior year. If it happens it will be a huge positive for our squad. Before I saw your post I said to myself he needs to use up all his eligibility to increase his chances of having an NBA career.

He has no chance at the NBA at the moment.

Wow, hopefully we don’t have another KJ situation with Sims leaving early. That would set the program back another 5+ years!

That's a great point.

Thankfully, regardless of what happens, we know we can count on great fans such as yourself who support the team so faithfully. Your positivity and consistent support are so helpful!

You can tell they're really devoted fans when they misspell the players' names. ("Sims")

You'd think, after loyally watching all 21 games this year, they'd have seen his name on pregame graphics, stat lines, "Stars to Watch", etc. to be able to spell it correctly, especially someone who is undoubtedly considered our best player.

I did the speak to text thing on this one, but honestly the product we’ve put on the court has been nearly unwatchable the last 10 years. That’s not this player’s fault though, and I apologize for not spell checking his name.

is Mack one and done? This is his first year here

Feb 4, 2020, 10:49 PM

Is he already done?

Yep grad transfer. I wish we had been able to see his whole career here

Simms is a junior; he should be back.

multiple returning starters next year

Feb 5, 2020, 8:59 AM

someone know how many starting line-ups have been used this year?

9 different players have started.. only Simms and Newman have started every game.. Mack only missed one start

coming back: Simms, Newman, Trapp... Dawes, Hunter, Moore, & Tyson have also started games this season

only starters we're losing are Mack & Scott

with the two freshmen coming in, the Tigers should be better next year

wonder if we will see any transfers, in or out?

We don't have any spots available for transfers in. Someone will have to transfer out for that to happen.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think the team only loses Mack and Curran Scott.

Feb 5, 2020, 2:11 PM

Not that it matters.
