Why are we playing The Citadel and Wofford? Didn't something weird happen as far a scheduling? Seems like 2 cupcakes is a little too much.

We had to dump an opponent to make room for the 9th game that never was. By the time the ACC relented, all we had left were the cupcakes. And we might as well keep the money in-state.

Best thing is playing The Citadel the week before in Columbia.

All the SEC schools pull this the week before playing their rival game to rest most of their starters some.

The 9-game ACC schedule plan forced us to back out of a game with a more respectable opponent (FBS level). Then the ACC backed off to 8-game schedule leaving us scrambling to fill the open spot. No FBS level teams worked out, so we had to settle for a 2nd FCS team...which really does stink.

While we typically have 2 cupcakes, usually only one of them is FCS level
