Regarding Womens Softball Team is 16 Players

enough of a roster for this team or is the plan to increase to 22-25 total in time. Sixteen does not appear to cover reserve field players let along a viable pitching staff.

Also have only 12 scholarships to give out. Though most will be partial, several of the ones coming will understand that there may be a state of flux until we get a few years under our belt. That probably complicates recruiting for the time being.

to the number of players that can be included on a college softball team, the NCAA allows softball teams to have just 12 scholarships. Coaches can choose to divided those into a half, a third or other partial scholarships resulting in a larger roster of players for any given team.

However, each individual league or conference may impose travel squad size limits to 20 or 25 players.

They don't use as many pitchers as baseball. Still seems small but it is year 1.
