With some good players, they will be a very good team. With very good players, they will be a great team. I have SO much confidence in Coach B's basketball knowledge and coaching ability. He is the real deal. Good times are ahead for Clemson basketball. We need need to give him time. The players are coming. More will come.

And this guy thinks that Brad Brownell isn't a "real" coach:

Why do these classes have so much hype?

Nov 9, 2011, 9:36 PM

I think Brownell is a great coach, and he's transitioning the team to bring in his type of players. I know we don't necessarily have to have 5 star guys or guys that have a lot of spotlight from high school.

However, it sure is nice having some guys coming in that might have some star power. My question is: do any of our classes have a player that has some buzz surrounding them that people say "that guy is going to be a special player"?

Again. Love Brownell. But who should I be excited about from the classes of '11/'12?

Other than Milton Jennings, name a guy that fits that

criteria? We normally get guys under the radar or who need a little time to develop. Nnoko could wind up the steal of this class. 6'11, great athleticism, just started playing basketball.

Yeah. I know we're going for that type of player, but that means it's harder to find out which guys that fans are really excited about. Any of these guys have something special that recruiting websites aren't telling me?

Recruiting services don't know much and don't care

much either. Clemson has had no more than 2-3 5 star players in its entire history. Generally, all of our recruits get an automatic 3 star rating, its been that was for years.
