Recruiting hypothetical

Jul 30, 2014, 1:00 AM

Say that Campbell, Settle, Bailey, Cowart, and Sweat want to commit. What do we do to make it happen? Do we have room. Can you turn down that kind of talent?

A likely senario I'm sure... Don't forget Huggins and maybe just maybe Tuttle.

Wow! How did I forget Huggins? I think the train is almost full and guys better go ahead and give their commitment.

At this point, I truly believe the coaches know who else we are going to get!

My thinking is we finish out the class with:

Huggins
Settle
Bailey (yeah Coot lean but just have a hunch there)
Campbell - longshot, but he has to be noticing the talent coming on board!

Getting Ray Rays commitment is going to end up being huge for us in the end!

Go Tigers!!!

I do agree that they (coaches)have a recruit "lean" detector.

I just don't think we are recruiting Campbell all that

Jul 30, 2014, 7:57 AM

Hard. From what I have read they believe that Cain and mccloud are both better than Campbell and are done with the receiver position.

You have to take Huggins because of he is an instate kid. I would take Sweat because he is an elite athlete that also play OLB to allow us to get the other good WDE we have on the roster onto the field (Ebo, Ferrell, Yeargin) I've heard a rumor that Settle might have to go to prep school so he may be a take all the way considering he wouldn't count against is till next year.

Oversign them , have middle class greyshirts pay the old fashioned way and let all bottom-feeders go immediately to get the space.

POINT TO REMEMBER: Since C.J.Spiller surprised the media & committed to Clemson every class seems to get stronger {except for the year Bowden left]. Clemson is now a place more high profile players want to at least visit. ----- AND WHO WAS MOST RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING C.J. TO TIGERTOWN?

clem didn't make Sweat's cut........

Jul 30, 2014, 10:25 AM

With his senior campaign nearing kickoff, the 6-foot-5, 236-pounder has set up his five official visits for the fall with Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon and Virginia Tech making the cut.
