I like this kid. I hope we get him over Kelly. After watching his highlights, I think he is more of a pure passer than our other targets. Kid has a cannon. He seems to be able to run as well.

He's listed at only 6'0". That is a concern to me. The last short QB didn't work out too well for us, but I like the film on this kid, and with this new offense, he may be fine. I just wish he were a few inches taller with a cannon and good wheels.

I agree. The kid looks pretty good. Great arm, but questionable decision making. At least that's what I gather from watching his highlights. He throws a lot into double coverage. I'm tired of the short QBs. Korn, Parker, Boyd, McNeal. We need to get some height behind the line. I just think that Chad Kelly is a perfect fit for this system and he is 6'-3". I also liked the guy from Colorado because he had a great arm and was 6'-4, but we are out of the running for him.
Of the QBs that we have been pursuing hard and who seem to have an interest in us I'd say my order of preference is:
1. Chad Kelly
2. Greyson Lambert
3. Jameis Winston
4. Chad Voytik

I think this kid is better than Kelly in passing and running. And being short maybe a good thing in our new offense, with lots of misdirection and etc.

I think he's better than Kelly in arm strength, it's a toss up in accuracy, and I think Kelly makes better decisions. I re-watched his highlights and he's faster than I thought he was. One run in particular makes him seem very fast. I still think Kelly is a better runner though. I'm not sure which is playing against better competition. I don't think either upstate New York or Tennessee are great in HS football.
As for the height I don't think being short is ever an advantage to a QB. Good ones can overcome the height issue, but I don't know people who would choose a shorter QB over a taller one if everything else (hypothetically) is equal.

You are right on that. Lack of height is never an asset to a QB, unless he never passes.

My favorite one is the best one that really wants to be a Clemson Tiger. Also, he must be willing to work hard, go that extra mile to prove he was the right guy for the job at Clemson.
