Seems like that is the key....

Just for kicks, here's our breakdown:

70 points or more: 12-0 (all 8 of our conference wins fall in this category)

60-69 points: 2-5

50-59 points: 0-4 (at FSU, SCAR, at NCSU, Notre Dame)

40-49 points: 0-3 (Yale, at Wake, at UVA)

Nice time of year to be playing good ball....go Tigers.

It's simple then score 70 points every game and Clemson is undefeated in basketball.

Thank you for this information. I have been screaming from the rafters for I don’t know how long that we will not win games scoring 50 some points. Yet year after year game after game the coaching style was to keep the game low scoring, hence close, and then steal it at the end. We would start slow, waiting to see what the other team was doing, get behind and spend the rest of the game catching up. You could say that lack of talent drove that style, but all of those players were D-1 athletes who probably knew how to put the ball in the basket. This is why some chose to dislike CBB and his style. A 50 point game is hard to watch unless you are a Virginia fan. It was to the point that some fans were joking thatcoach didn’t understand that scoring more points that the opponent was necessary to win the game. We absolutely have to score in the 70’s to be consistent winners. Fortunately we are and that is a change. Thanks again for the stats. Wish I could 10 TU U.

Class of ‘71. Went through “rat season” and glad I did.


Kinda odd that our 50-69 record is 2-9.

For a coach that stresses defense and players that play hard on that side of the ball, you’d think that record would be more like 5-6 or better. Find some way to grit out more ugly wins. Unlucky with bad bounces and injuries, I guess.

The 40-49 record makes sense. And those L’s are deserved.
