As you all know by now, Rece Davis is filling in for Chris Fowler for our broadcast tomorrow night. How many times do you think he will mispronounce our players names?

I actually think Rece is a ultimate plus for Clemson.
He went to Alabama and knows Dabo fairly well. He thinks highly of the Clemson program. I think that will show through during the broadcast.
With that said, I'll say 6 mispronunciations.

Davis is actually really good at pronouncing players names, so I’m not sure where you’re coming from.

Better question, how many times will he mispronounce Clemson as Clemzzzzzinn! I have never understood it. Nobody says Robinzzzzin. Nobody says Masterzzinn. Nobody says PatterzzInnn. What the heck is going on with that?

...this is all I'll say about this, but my father, who was a CRAZY stickler for pronunciation of the English language, when referring to something kinda' greasy, would say, "greezee". And even though I went to school there, graduated, and instructed him on the proper pronunciation, he would refer to "Clemzon" University. (And he graduated Miami of Ohio (not O310!), and he loved Woody Hayes... (and pardon me, I won't even go there...))

Fowler, like a lot of play by play guys these days, thinks yelling at the top of his lungs makes a game exciting. There’s maybe 2-3 plays a game that warrant a play by play man raising his voice, not screaming over the crowd noise. He does it on every single first down or long gain or defensive play. That’s how you know who he wants to win.
