Really need to go after Kipper Nichols...

From OH. We have offerd. 6-6 and can play outside and inside. I saw him play well vs. PJ Dozier at BB Classic. Has offers from Xavier, Dayton, and Northwestern. Reminds me of Butler for the Bulls. We can still bring in a scoring transfer too...

end of the year I knew was a matter of time before I heard this news.
Sucks though b/c i always thought of him as another terrance oglesby. Liability on defense but could get hot in stretches and get us back in games.

How many transfers have we had in the Brownell era...

We had some during the Purnell era, but it seems like under Brownell we have a whole lot more transfer.

It's only a red flag if the reason is something negative torwards Brownell or the program.
Pretty sure Rooks is transferring for playing time. It's not his fault he had a hip condition which took him out for a year.
Sapp transferred for playing time.
Some transfer to go closer to home, or for family reasons closer to home.
A lot of kids don't want to be backups for four to five years anymore, it's just the way it is.
Fwiw, Kentucky and Duke have transfers too.

keeping up with basketball sometime in February, but I didn't think there was a player that had scored 20 that I hadn't heard of. Good luck to him.

If I was Coach Brownell I would go after Jarren Sina from Seton Hall. He is going to transfer somewhere. He is a ideal fit into for the program IMO. He does everything very well and can shoot the three.

not sure sina upgrades our roster. is he better than holes, devoe, hudson? also, IMO him dropping off the team in mid year is a bit of a red flag. don't think the staff is pursuing him at all.

Another guy kicked off the team...

When will everyone wake up to the sham of CBB and find someone who represents Clemson the right way? We need the Dabo of basketball.
Dabo represents everything I want Clemson to stand for. It's not only about winning, it's about the development of men.
Losing kids in Basketball every year like this indicates there are more problems than we know of.

Stats for idiots like me
Mar 24, 2015, 1:06 PM
|
|
Bernard Sullivan T.J. Sapp Devin Coleman Adonis Filer Ibrahim Djambo Patrick Rooks
In the 2011-13 cycles, 43 percent of Clemson’s signees have left the program.
Nothing is wrong with the program. These guys just got replaced with better talent. Forget the fact that two of the three eligible transfers went to teams that made the post season. They went to a better team and got more minutes only because they weren't in the mighty ACC.

OK, 40% of all college basketball players transfer at some point. Wouldn't that make us about average?

Clemson should be better than average
Mar 24, 2015, 10:04 PM
|

Technically, it is 34.2 % of college basketball players transfer. (Nationally)
The general student body is 32.6%
More than a third of the 34% is "up transfers" where a kid goes mid major to a major. So unfortunately Clemson is not average, but more like almost double everyone else. Statistically compared to the power five, Clemson is more than double.
