With that many sitings in a few weeks the population is already established.

I wonder how they taste? Iguanas taste pretty good, lots of places are getting rid of them by eating them.

The supply of beef, pork, poultry and fish remains stable at least in the Upstate. As long as that remains the case, I will refrain from eating a lizard. Hell, who knows, these pests could be harboring COVID 2.0. Gonna stick with the tried and true!

Me too. I was kidding around. My dad made me eat any thing I killed which is a good thing. However, I can report all songbirds are not created equal in the taste department! Nah, I would try the lizard. I had capybara in South America--the largest rodent in the world.

Guy goes all around and hunts, then cooks the meat in camp and then at home after trip. Inspired me to cook a deer heart last year, it was actually pretty good cooked like a pot roast.

I looked up their temperature threshold.

But it didn’t really tell me about in the wild. In captivity a cool temp for them in cage is 75 degrees. This I would think they would not be able to survive the upstate winter of below freezing temps sometimes for 3-4 days str8. In the low country and midlands maybe they could survive permanently.
