Offense struggles as offensive line matches up freshman with starters

The offensive struggled with penalties and turnovers during Saturday's scrimmage, and offensive coordinator Billy Napier said the coaches knew going in that there were going to be some stretches as they mixed the offensive line groups. Full Story »

starter on the offensive line doesn't result in a huge drop-off and subsequent sense of panic. It seems we've been in that boat for the past 10 years. Furthermore, it seems we ALWAYS, every year, have crippling injuries on the O-line that set us way back.

Wilson Norris was a backup and if we were playing in a game they would have started the entire first team. They are trying to develop more depth since they just lost some, and trying to get the third team guys up to a second team level.

having a sense of panic when a 2nd team O-linemen goes down. And while panic may be too strong of a word, I think every Clemson fan knows what I mean. It just seems that the lack of depth on the O-line has been a major factor for us for a long, long time. Can't help but wonder when that's gonna become a priority and get corrected.
