Would Tyshon Dye have made a difference in

Oct 22, 2013, 11:33 AM

our run game this year had he stayed uninjured. I live near his hometown and talked to a lot of his high school fans that say he is a sack of hades between the tackles. Would our YPC be higher than with Hotrod or Zac?

I think we still need a bigger nastier line to get the offense rolling.

I have heard great thing and seen some good ones

Do you know how he is as a long run threat? I think that is what this team is missing more than anything else in the backfield. I want to see the home run come back to our run game.

Worried about Dye and injuries

Last 2 seasons have ended in surgery.

This is true as well***

Sadly we miss a player like Bellamy....

Oct 22, 2013, 11:40 AM [ in reply to I have heard great thing and seen some good ones ]

If Bellamy could have kept his head on straight and continued to develop, he could have been the player we needed this year. He threw his football career away though with poor decisions.

yes losing bellamy was a big blow to the homerun threat

Oct 22, 2013, 11:47 AM

and you look at the "elite" offenses of the country that we want to be like/similar to........they have homerun threats

Oregon and baylor to name a few.........not familiar enough w/ auburn's personnel, but w/ them avg 300 rush yds/game i'd imagine they have somewhat of a speed back.

Man,
Bellamy and losing Marlin Lane has us in this predicament at RB this season....

by the way, what's bellamy's story? Been off of here for awhile.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Didn't he kill five hookers or something

Oct 22, 2013, 12:12 PM

Wait, no, that was Craig James. Bellamy wasn't smart enough to not get caught smoking weed and was not smart enough to not become academically ineligible.

Disagree on Lane. He is average at best.

Raijon Neal for Tenn is a much better back than Lane.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We need either a home run threat or a big guy to pound on

Oct 22, 2013, 12:34 PM [ in reply to I have heard great thing and seen some good ones ]

people when we spread them out and they put an extra defensive back on the field. We could control the football and clock.

We have neither.

Only thing that would have made a difference is having some more 4 star recruits on the offensive line....win it on the line!

I agree with you we need better line play on O if we're gonna be taken as a serious running threat team. Morris says were supposed to be a run first team, but we don't have the hosses on the line to back that up yet.

I think we are better this year than in any other years under Morris but we still got a ways to go
