IN THE DARK LP was released. The so-called “comeback album” featured “Touch of Grey,” “#### in a Bucket,” “West L.A. Fadeaway” and “Throwing Stones.”
One of my faves

Very jealous- I bet that was amazing.
Was their a particular night that sticks out from those 3? I have watched Sunday's show the most, but Saturday's setlist is amazing.

Answer me these questions three, ere the other side you'll see...
1. What is the greatest year for the Grateful Dead?
2. Brent Mydland vs. Keith Godchaux in a fight, who do you pull for and who do you put money on?
3. Was Phil or Bobby more into the ladies?

would put Keith over the top by wailing at the precise moment that PITB comes back in from the jam causing Brent (and everyone else) to be so startled that Keith comes with a quick jab.
Bobby was a ladies man, but Phil slang the bass, nomsayin?

Fair point on Keith (and spouse's backing vocals); I just always loved Brent's harmonies and "I will take you home" is one of the few songs better in studio versus live.
STILL - nothing beats a good 20 minute version of Pigpen doing "Turn on your Lovelight".

THIS GUY GETS IT!!!!!!!
Pig just couldn't stop drinking. Keith couldn't stop heroin. Brent couldn't stop toot toot. Vince, well Vince just compounded depression with alcohol and drugs. Bruce is the only one who could keep his sh>it together.
Side note, I was reading about Vince Sunday night and I had no idea he beat out T. Lavitz and Pete Sears for the position of Cursed Grateful Dead Keyboard player.

but our drummer, who went out on hiatus back in February to care for his elderly dad sang it, so I guess that one comes off the list until he gets back. Very fun song to play.
