Joyner is a heck of a player and wish we could have him but when the Gatorade HS player didn't make the top 5 something is wrong with the award. Derion Kendrick is proving that at the shrine bowl practice.

but he simply isn't a Division 1 college QB.

With the exception of CootU, most of the schools that offered him, offered as an athlete or DB, not as a QB.

He's a solid runner (4.64 40) but he has quite a bit of work to do in order to develop as a passer.

So Kendrick isn't one of the best players in the state? Someone tell Gatorade they made a mistake on Derion Kendrick and then also Trevor Lawerence
