NFL put it in place after Tom Brady got hit low and tore his ACL first game of 2009 season. Not sure when college adopted it.

That rule has been in effect for a while. You can't tackle a QB low like that. It was a good call

The snap was low and the QB fumbled it. Doesn't that now make the QB the same as a running back and is not afforded the same protection as a QB ??....
I think the rules change once the ball is fumbled . Correct me if I'm wrong.

I thought it was a tough break for Kavon. Mond sort of did a jump throw which put Wallace’s shoulder at shin height instead of thigh height.

Lots of questionable calls today, not sure it favored one team or the other. They literally called a do-over once - never seen that. "Uh, sorry we blew the whistle and um just do it over, okay?"

it happened in a cleveland game once and the refs almost didn't make it out of the stadium alive.
