Yall realize a rain out ALMOST guarantees us a National Seed.

May 28, 2016, 9:32 PM

We easily get the spot over FSU.

The only chance FSU has is beating us. A rain out is what we hope for. Save our pitching and a National Seed.

I hope for a ACC Championship. One step at a time.

For me, Omaha means more than an ACC title.

May 28, 2016, 9:39 PM

And being a National Seed exponentially increases that chance.

So the best scenario is a down pour. Don't have to waste any pitching.

2nd best scenario is of course to win tomorrow.

Our pitching will be fine next weekend.
Barnes and Clate will be good to go and Krall has pitched less than 60 pitches this week.
Eubanks and Gilliam will also be ready.

Championships are hard to come by. It's been 10 years since we made it this far. I hope the weather will hold off long enough for one more win.

pretty sure regionals don't start til fri no pitching wasted***

I want to beat the Noles every danged chance we get , at everything . They are a horrid fanbase for the most part , like the Coots ..only successful at sports .

I've found their fans have gotten better recently

May 28, 2016, 9:54 PM [ in reply to Re: Yall realize a rain out ALMOST guarantees us a National Seed. ]

They respect us and realize Clemson and FSU are the only teams keeping the ACC a Power 5 conference in football. I don't mind FSU fans, personally.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I too have many FSU friends who fear/respect us like they

May 28, 2016, 10:18 PM

should, but the fans that show up to Death Valley for away games are the WORST!

Last FSU game I went to in Death Valley was crazy. We had 2 FSU fans start fighting each other in the row in front of me. Clemson fans tried to break them up because there were kids around us. Just got even worse at that point. I think one Clemson fan and the 2 FSU fans got kicked out.

I'm pretty sure that I never, 100% of the time, want to forfeit an ACC Championship. I equate this you to saying we should have given the ACC title to the Tarheels last season to ensure we made the playoffs...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

we will be Co champs.

May 28, 2016, 9:43 PM

Fsu would just get the automatic regional bid, which doesn't matter because us and fsu are gonna make regionals anyway.

There will not be Co-champs and FSU would not get the automatic bid, Miami would by having the best regular season conference record.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's not even the point.

May 28, 2016, 9:53 PM

This whole tournament is an embarrassment to the ACC. From format to venue to scheduling. Do other power conferences have this rain out issue?

2024 purple level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Oh and how many fans were there besides ours?

May 28, 2016, 9:59 PM

The stands were empty. We have the best baseball conference in America yet not a single butt hardly in the stands besides us and FSU. Horrible planning even without a championship rain-out.

2024 purple level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

FSU had fans. They were the only other team that really had

May 28, 2016, 10:16 PM

Fans there from what I saw.

agree.....and just about everybody knows that you have to have rain plans for outdoor events. Very unorganized.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Exactly, we have the BEST teams and worst organizers

May 28, 2016, 10:12 PM

Imagine the basketball tournament having NO championship game. There would be riots in NC.

Charlotte will be a lot better venue.***

The ACC its a joke and the people who run it===headed by Swofford--are clueless.. Championships need top be won on the field. To have no plans incase of bad weather is beyond ignorant!! BTY Wofford is the only commissioner on any Poer 5 Conference who attended, as an undergrad, one of the schools in the conference. Way beyond a joke
