Tight ends: Receiving threat behind Leggett has to emerge

When Deshaun Watson takes his first snaps of the spring next week, one of his favorite targets in tight end Jordan Leggett will be split out beside him. The biggest question mark when it comes to tight ends centers on who will get the most snaps behind Leggett. Full Story »

Maybe Just Maybe Thats The Problem With Special Teams...----

Too many tight-ends on the field and not enough pure sure fire tacklers with speed.

Could be...need to play best on special teams!***

Not sure about that. It's good to have them on the receiving team, because of ability to catch, but I certainly agree if they are on the KO or punt teams. IMO, that's where we have struggled the most, and that's where the fast LB's, corners and safeties need to be..

Thinking the very same thing....using our TEs on special team coverage may be a big part of this problem.....probably not the fastest players on the team......there you go.....problem solved.......Go Tigers!!!!!

thanks dhood. one note, that true freshman was the hammer

on this play.

btw, this was not posted to rile up those that say clemson is a shotgun team and doesn't take snaps from under center - see fsu.

glad you pointed this out and included the video. Garrett stuck his head in there and got the job done.

Under developed tight ends and poor special teams play.

The Ball needs to be Thrown In-Stride.

A MAJOR NEED in getting the most out of Leggett and the other receivers is that Watson LEARN to hit them IN STRIDE. He did that a lot more in his first year, but seems to throw it LOW on a continuous basis now. Obviously, it is needed to avoid interceptions at times, but it happens much too often on plays that could have rendered many more yards. Just my opinion...
