Warning to StubHub sellers
Dec 4, 2017, 6:45 PM

Maybe Germans. Had to sell 2 ACCCG tickets on stubhub. Sale went through on Thursday. 6:45 pm on Saturday night we're notified that the sale was cancelled. Then notified we have to prove the tickets were valid and produce the scan history from BOA stadium or we pay the ticket selling price + another 80% of the selling price!! What the hell?!
Got the tickets directly through IPTAY, never printed them, uploaded directly to Stubhub.
Seems we were the victim of some type of buyer scam, but I don't think we're protected at all. CU Ticket office did their part in sending a letter stating the tickets were authentically purchased, but I am getting a cold feeling from Stubhub! Also, I don't see why I would be on the hook for the stubhub ticket price (they must have refunded the buyer?) plus another 80% (not to mention the original $275 I paid to CU that I eat)?!?
I am done with Stubhub. No problems for 4 years and now BOOM!
Anybody have this experience? Anybody survive it without getting royaly screwed?

I got screwed with a fake ticket from them at the ACCCG in 2015. They sell so many fake tickets they don't even blink when someone tells them they have a fake and can't get into the stadium.
Everything they do is absolute crap.
Stay away. Far Far Away.

There was a problem with some of the Iptay tickets not scanning. One of our 2 tickets didn’t scan and we had to go to the ticket office and they had to reissue them. There was a huge line of people who had the same problem with their Iptay tickets. I wonder if someone bought your tickets and had problems scanning it and reported it to Stubhub.

Thank you for sharing this. Please let us know how it turns out.
When you list a ticket, Subhub verifies that the barcode is valid. They also temporarily invalidates the bar code. If you decide that you do not want to sell the ticket, you have to cancel the sale order before you can use the ticket. When a ticket is sold, your bar code is canceled and a new one issued to the buyer. This is the value Stubhub adds to the process.
I think everything will work out.

Did you sell electronic tickets? If you did, I suppose the buyer could resell the tickets and then claim that you had sold them twice.
I am not sure how to protect yourself in this case.
