speaking of homeownership

Feb 5, 2019, 2:36 PM

tryin to fix up house before i sell within next yr

replacing a chunked off garage apron.

But I have about a 10 ft hairline line running thru my garage concrete now. no foundation cracks or anything. That is typical, correct? not somehting that would fail inspection? I already had 5 people come out and say foundation was fine.

Anyway, concrete guy is trying to sell me on putting a complete garage coating on it.

Hairline crack in garage floor is fine. I don't know of anyone who would consider that structural.

MauldinT, where are you???

That could very well be, but more likely

it's a tectonic plate fissure and nothing can be done aside from waiting for the Earth to swallow the structure whole, which is probably EXACTLY what is going on here.

Post a pig.

A self leveling job is fairly expensive but maybe there's another solution. Post a pig.

take a gray crayon and rub back and forth over the crack. Then run a heat gun over it to melt it in place.

Do this right before selling.

Problem solved!

That'll be $500 for consulting.

THX.
