some clips of the 1982 orange bowl that you might not

May 29, 2019, 8:28 PM

have seen...these have some great crowd noise with them. not sure what the source of some of them are, but some are raw footage it seems like. i would love to see more raw footage from the sideline with the crowd noise. it reminds me of the one clip that Kornblut put up from the 2016 national championship, which for crowd noise of the moment is the best clip out there. The TV obviously mutes a lot of the crown noise so you can hear your favorite announcer. what is enjoyable if you were there is to hear the crowd noise as it was.

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!! Haven’t heard this in a long long time. It was that loud and then some. Heard some cornhuskers afterwards saying they’d never been to a game like that where the fans were so loud and fanatical...

It brings tears to my eyes just watching it and listening to it. Without a doubt the best trip our family ever went on. Can’t thank you enough for posting it. God Bless you!!!!!

That D was Clemson Skrong!!!!! Wow...

Thank you for posting that. I was a 12 yr old kid and fortunate that my family could make that trip. Never thought it would be 34 years to make another one. It’s why I appreciate these championships so much now because it is sure not a given.

How things stay the same

May 29, 2019, 11:34 PM

In this game, Clemson (in spite of being ranked #1) was the underdog and most people didn't give us a chance. Here we are going on 40 years later and Clemson is the underdog in the Natty's and nobody gives us a chance. It's not going to change this year either. If Clemson and Alabama play in the upcoming Natty, you can bet the farm that Alabama will be the favorite.

I think it's probably an advantage because the teams feel disrespected. I think Saban hates that everyone (fans / media) assume they will win every game. In the meantime, we will just keep riding the Roy bus and winning the championships.
