non-conference home and home series

We should look into getting more with non-SEC teams. We haven't done this in a while. The last two were Missouri and Texas A&M who are both in the SEC now. It would be cool to get one with a Big 12, Ten or Pac 12 school.
I know the Okie State series has been cancelled recently which is a shame.

back vacation trip. But yes, with our national rank currently, I hope the AD is going after a big time program to do a home and home series after the ND 2015 game. Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan - any of those would be nice

which I guess is still technically a non-conference game.. but they haven't said when we will make the return trip.
I'd guess we won't see a lot of home and homes anymore sadly though.

2 games in between - which would give us a home and home series in between every ND game. I believe that is how it will wind up working.

lining up a series with Rutgers for recruiting.
Along the same vein I wouldn't be opposed to playing Maryland on a somewhat regular basis when they leave for the B1G. In addition to recruiting we also have a lot of ties with the Terps other than being long time conference-mates. They, like us, got suspended by the SoCon in 1952 for playing in a bowl in '51, and Thomas Green Clemson also left property to them in the same will that created Clemson.

games in the B10 and if they schedule anyone it will be a border rival like WVU or Pitt. That's their equivalent of our Georgia.

Dunno about that

Remember they will be playing Penn State in division every year, so they get all the exposure they need in PA. Plus it's not like they have tripped over themselves scheduling Pitt in the past since there is a grand total of 5 games between the two schools, with the last in '92. They have played more games against Temple since the last time they played Pitt than the total number of games against Pitt.
The only NC school that isn't butt-hurt over them leaving the ACC is ECU. and ECU can't get exposure for themselves much less anybody else in NC.
Maryland knows that football and basketball scheduling is going to help scheduling in areas they are going to require some help. Being in a region where it tends to stay cold longer than down south, and joining the B1G they know that A. they are going to need some early season scheduling help in baseball and B. They are going to need some RPI boosts from the OOC because of the B1G. I can see some multiple sport scheduling deals coming about for that very reason.
