lost our pup today

No TUs. Just give your dogs and kids a little extra love tonight. Our 10 year old Aussie died undergoing emergency surgery from internal bleeding. Just a shock at how fast he took a bad turn. Fine one minute unable to stand the next. The day we bring them home we know this day is coming.
The worst part is calling our son, who took a job 2 1/2 hrs away, to tell him the bad news. The sad thing is our son is new to the area and has no one to lean on or drink a toast with. So prayers for him are much appreciated.
Jake was always a Clemson fan and loved sports on tv. Go Tigers !

That is awful. It something most of us have faced and will face again. My dog turns 9 in 2 days and it's already stressing me out at times that his time is going quickly. Anyway, I feel for your pain. Sorry for your loss.

Hate that Hillbilly. Prayers to you and the family. Wife and I dont have kids and our dogs are our kids. I dred the day we have to day good bye to ours. I'm sure Jake had a great life and you and your family were the reason for it.

Lost my 8 yr old GS son on 12/30 to hemolytic anemia. It happens really suddenly. Like someone said they are just like losing a kid. Sorry, I feel your pain.

Lost my Golden Retriever forty years this month and have a brass paperweight of her on my desk to this day. Cherish the wonderful memories and love your pets everyday because their lives are precious to those who have one or more.

We lost our 14 and a half-year-old 3 weeks ago. He was involved in every part of our lives. we still cry every day. It will get better, but it will take a while. May the Good Lord comfort you.

I've lost some good dogs and have learned that they are one of the few things that you pay for when you lose them, not when you buy them. You never know the true emotional price until they are gone, and there can be a helluva bill to pay when it comes due.
