8 is the loneliest number ...

Jul 12, 2014, 8:59 AM

What a groin kick this must be for the Coots. How do you positively spin it when 40% of your next recruiting class is too dumb to get into your college ?
Is Otispurrts finally getting too senile to find kids that can play and that can also pass for semi-concious ?
LMAO ...pity the fools.

looks like they'll be great candidates to "try to fail"

Top DE recruit commits to South Carolina because of classes where ‘you have to try to fail’

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/prep-rally/top-recruit-commits-south-carolina-because-classes-where-091739231.html

As first reported by Palmetto Sports and brought to Prep Rally’s attention by The Big Lead, Key, a rising junior defensive end Lithonia (Ga.) High, cited USC’s coaching staff as a key reason why he committed to the Gamecocks rather than in-state power Georgia. Yet, he also said that the school’s ability to create an easy road for its athletes as a key reason why he wanted to head to Columbia.

"The academic part, it's like you have to try to fail,"
Key told Palmetto Sports.

way to take a 16 year old's quote out of context and use it against him, ###hole. he didn't say that about the classes, he was talking about the tutors and help the AD provides.

busted-I am actually a writer for a national sports website

and I also wrote the other articles about the same thing on the numerous other websites.

My little ruse has been exposed.

how is it out of context, this is a direct quote from the kid when asked why he chose SCU.

At some point a coach and a university have to take responsibility for these kids. So giving these kids "The easy Road", hardly prepares them for life, and pretty much assures that you will end up with entitled and lazy players who avoid putting any effort into their lives.

congrats..

Those "stellar" academic standards kind of match up nicely with all their moral expectations, as well. As they say, "like father, like son". Spurlid seems to search out kids that mirror his own smarmy example.

Don't look at their stupid fans on 247 or rivals. Their stupidity will blow your mind. They are said that this is a great moment in their history because other people care when they don't get players. They don't realize how screwed they are at cb and de.

Thuggery and intelligence don't generally come hand in hand.

Don't worry about that. If they got Clowney in, these 8 will be a piece of cake. Hey, that kinda rhymes.
