rumor immediately? Only thing is, he would look stupid because to come out and say something without being asked about it wouldn't make sense. He can't just up and say I'm not interested in the Texas job when nobody has brought the subject up. That being said, I wish a reporter would hurry and ask him so he can end it immediately because he has a rival game in 36 hours and a conference title game in a week.

I heard Brian Jones from CBS Sports (and a Texas alum) say something about it on the radio this morning. One of their big boosters, Red McCombs, is starting the Dabo push.

So that schools don't get publicly spurned, they make initial contact through back channels just to gauge the potential candidates interest. That way if the potential candidate says he has no interest, the inquiring school can quickly move on and when their AD is asked if they a perusing the coach, he can answer no without having to admit being turned down.

To put an end to this mess; I have but one comment. All Tigers need to realize that Texas does not seem to know what the hell they are doing! I spoke at length yestetday with a UT grad who lives in Houston and absolutely nobody knows what Texas is actually going to do until after Saturday's game. Enjoy the Tiger's victory over USuck and then everything else will get resolved.

These type of BS rumors get started only bc of the rivalry game hoping to distract Clemson players, coaches and fans. Anybody that can spell Dabo, they know that Dabo doesn't have any desire what so ever in leaving Clemson for Texass. They have Dabo and da Chad confused, da Chad looked for any opportunity to leave Clemson for Texass or anywhere close to Texass when Dabo has made it clear that he and his family are perfectly happy at and with his job at Clemson. Anybody following up on rumors like that, they haven't been paying attention, or they are a coot themselves!!!
