The Soldier's Cross Ceremony is a seriously heart-wrenching

Nov 6, 2016, 9:24 AM

Part of the Military Appreciation halftime. I watch the families on the sideline and it humbles me in what they must be experiencing.

You are correct. It's amazing how piercingly quiet

Nov 6, 2016, 9:29 AM

It can get in the stadium during that tribute.

Great moment but also painful for so many

was a great experience!

Even more amazing to think of Killary's reaction to loss of life like that

"what difference does it make?"

...yeah I went there.

There were several moments like that for me

Military Appreciation Day at Clemson has to be one of the classiest events anywhere in any type of venue.

I got choked up singing the National Anthem (can't understand how some individuals who enjoy the daily blessings of living in this country could even consider taking a knee), as the parachutists landed, the Cross ceremony, Tiger Band playing Taps, the veteran in his 80's trying to carry an oxygen bottle up the steps late in the game and having two younger Tiger fans immediately come to his side to assist him as several of us stopped him to shake his hand as he left... it was the total package.

During Taps, I could hear a lady crying softly about four rows behind me. That all but took me over the edge.

All in all it was a great day.

It's called "spoiled brat syndrome"

Nov 6, 2016, 9:45 AM

Often results in poor attitudes, bad decision making, laziness, arrogance, and liberalism.

I think he was referring to irreverent guys during anthem

Nov 6, 2016, 3:01 PM

Colin and other people kneeling during the anthem.

I heard the reviews / comments about the Cross Ceremony - but TV obviously did not televise it. Is there some way - if someone has it that they can share it. I would love to see it. Thank you to any kind soul that can help.

Taps was played, but when they went straight from that into Amazing Grace was when I lost it. It was a beautiful tribute, as always.

Very powerful. I enjoyed sharing that moment with my 10 year old daughter as we thought about Grandpa.

No joke man. Of course I get misty-eyed watching the paratrooper land with the flag. But you're right about that particular ceremony it's very moving.
