getting worried about the state of our offense

Nov 24, 2018, 6:11 PM

Wake scored 59 on Duke and Cuse scored 42 on BC.

I hope we are holding stuff back and making predictable play calls so we can unleash the hounds in the CFP.

Pretty simple in my mind. The OL needs to play

Nov 24, 2018, 6:13 PM

like they're mad.

There's not a skill position group on the field that we're not twice as better/deep at with the exception of a couple of OL positions.

If those guys play nasty, we walk into the NC game.

that's gonna be the key to natty #2. they need to play with

Nov 24, 2018, 6:14 PM

You're right

I know we've got it one the left side of the line and at center, but I worry about the right side and where their head is at sometimes.

They'll prove me wrong, I know.

Why in hail are they in the top 15?

I'd be okay if LSU was 12-15. They're half a great team***

UNC beat Citadel 41-7. Bama beat them 50-17

Nov 24, 2018, 6:28 PM

Therefore, UNC and Bama are comparable

the root of this issue is our play calling

Nov 24, 2018, 6:31 PM

Not transitive properties of teams

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think some teams just have matchup problems

Nov 24, 2018, 6:35 PM

And play better teams differently. Duke score was the product of 9 dropped balls, not play calling.

so we start off every game slow except NC state and it has

Nov 24, 2018, 6:37 PM

Nothing to do with our OC's it's all our players fault?

I don't think so.. we even start slow agaisnt Furman and GSU

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Are the margins what has you concerned, or

Nov 24, 2018, 6:48 PM

When the scores occur? Im not saying it has nothing to do with the coaches, they have a ###### they use to see how the defense will react to plays and personnel.

I'm not saying it's always players or coaches (though I think the Duke game was a case of the drops). I'm saying it's fairly clear we have a great offense that works and we get backups in early most games

Clemson

the slow starts are concerning. the margins would be bigger

Nov 24, 2018, 6:59 PM

If we scored in the first quarter. I completely understand how scripted plays work. We need to be better at scripting stuff that will work. We look clueless on that aspect of it.

We need to convert 3rd downs and come off ###### for a play if necessary.

I’m worried too. If we have to play Alabama, and I’m pretty confident that we will, all of our offensive ball carriers will be getting crown-of-a-Bammer-helmet tattoos.

We haven’t had much flow lately, if we start a drive and can’t run it’s not good. When we do score there is a big run involved.
The passing game and play calling have been AVG at best all season.
I think if we go tempo and throw over the middle and slants This O is unstoppable.
But they continue to kill drives going for the HR which is hit and miss
