Tigers cultivating fertile Florida recruiting grounds

The Clemson coaching staff has one again reached down into Florida for an elite player, and the Tigers have three players listed in ESPN's Top 150 from the Tampa area alone. Full Story »

All of those players are going to be big time

Cain is an absolute beast, and to think he's playing QB in HS and will only get better when he moves to WR full time.

McCloud will be our own Percy Harvin. And athletic multi-tool threat.

Scott will play and play early with his quickness and speed. I look for him to do very well this year for us.

JF will get here early and push for PT almost immediately in a depleted OT group in 2015.

The coaches have done a super job, no doubt, but I give some of the signees themselves credit for helping to recruit their friends and players they meet in camps to see what we have to offer and to get them to be a part of it. Very special, IMO.

The constant improvement in the state of Florida with recruiting is a quality job done by our Coaching Staff. Also contributing to the effort, as said above, are current and past recruits/players. It also helps with UF having problems. Another factor is the recruits want to have a chance to play early and succeed.

I totally disagree with all this commit BS, I'm not saying it's the case with this recruit but everybody gets all pumped up when a lot of this "commit" BS is disclosed when a lot of it is done only to boost other schools to pump up their offers. I still think that when you commit, you should sign. Of course there are exclusions to this.

OK: let me have it>>>>

For Clemson to get these three kids from Tampa is actually remarkable. I think getting a commitment from them or any other elite player is extra exciting to a university because these are premier players that probably could of gone to any school in the Country but they chose Clemson? A special time in there lives and only a one time deal. Keep in mind most of these 17 year olds are simply still kids.
GO TIGERS!!
