Sitting here watching softball on the SEC Network. The ACC needs their own network and Clemson needs a freaking softball team!

If we add softball, we will need to add another men's program.
New facilities would need to built and maintained,more coaches to pay, more scholarships to be funded, and more annual program expenses. You neglected to promise to pay several million dollars each year to fund the new sports.

Oh yeah, because Clemson is so much poorer than every other school that does offer softball, including 11 current ACC teams. Give me a break. If we wanted it we'd have it. Period.

Clemson added women's rowing to meet Title IX requirements and recently added women's golf. Nine of the fifteen ACC schools have women's rowing teams. Rowing allows more scholarships than softball.
