for all the pumpers too young to remember this era...this is why Coach Ford is beloved! Clemson was "that team" nobody wanted in a bowl w/ Coach Ford and a month to prepare.

When Coach Ford was coaching I felt like we were going to win every bowl going into the game. Granted I was pre-teen/teen when he was coaching, but still. Since then I have seen bowl game lose after lose, with a win or two sprinkled in. I hope Tajh Boyd and Co play like they did versus LSU or UGA and not like they have all the other big games.

for him to be 2-5. Here are the 5 so far Music City, Gator, whatever that bowl is in Charlotte, Orange, and Chickfila. So he is 2-3, not 2-5. Do the math. Or maybe you can't because you're a coot.

The good 'ole days, when you actually had to have a decent team to play in a bowl. It makes sense Danny only beat top 20 teams... that's about the only teams that got to play in bowls back in the day.

I'd trade for the 80s in a heartbeat, but don't let nostalgia forget random losses to NCST, VaTech, Maryland or Duke that would keep us out of the Top 10 every year. Big UGA and FSU wins, but Danny lost unacceptable games just as much as Dabo.

Lucky to have experienced him as our head coach, having been to many of the bowl games and to have been a student at Clemson when we won the MNC.

No wait, his Clemson team actually beat West Virginia 27-7. The same West Virginia team that had Major Harris at QB. Don't know where I got the 70-33 from.
