confusion about bowl selection

I have searched the ACC site and the OB site and have found nothing that says the OB would be forced to take the highest rank ACC team if FSU is in playoff. All I could find is that if ACC team is in the playoff another team would be selected/chosen. It doesnt say 2nd place or highest ranked, which leads me to believe that the OB could select any ACC team it wanted that they thought would sell tickets and provide a good matchup. The one loss rule is also out the window this yr except when applying to ND. Thus, if we beat the coots they could certainly select us no matter what anyone else does. I think Duke is out regardless unless they won ACCCG due to travel and ticket sales, leaving the OB with taking CU, GT, or ND.

Negatives against us: we were there last yr and how many would go back a 2nd yr in a row and we would be a 3 loss team.

Positives: fan support (maybe this outweighs that we were there last yr), coming off victory, play up DW matchup and our defense

I don't think ND is eligible for the ACC Orange Bowl slot... they are actually an option for the other Orange Bowl slot. Their tie-in to our bowl games is for everything below the orange bowl.

As a result, it's really between us, GT, and Duke.

Y'all are forgetting that the playoff committee select the teams for the new year 6 bowls, so not up to the OB anymore
