clemson football perspective...

reading message boards and listening to the radio, you'd think clemson is a bad football team. Last I checked, guys, we are 7-0 and in the hunt for an acc championship, playoff birth, and national championship. let me say again, we are 7-0... SEVEN and ZERO. Do we have issues, sure. We all want to blow people out every week, but thats just not how football works. I wanted to include our record after the first 7 games for the last 20 seasons for you all so you could see just how rare it is to be in the company that Dabo has put us in. There are currently 128 NCAA FBS football teams. There are 125 or more that would LOVE to be us. Take a look at where we have come from and PLEASE try to enjoy the ride. That is something that Dabo tries to embrace. Whether you win pretty or win ugly, enjoy winning because you may not always have the opportunity!

The other side of that perspective.. and the people who are howling their concerns... is simply this.

We wont beat Alabama with the level of play we have had against Auburn, Troy and NC State.

Yes we played better against UL and played great against BC, but you cant always count on being able to find your A+ game when you want to just turn it on.

No one is upset about being 7-0 and we all know what this team is capable of, they just have not done it many times this year for 4 quarters and that is what it will take to win in Tally, win the ACC and win the natty.

Last season we had a lot of these type games after the bye week (Syracuse, SCar) ... perhaps this year we got them out of our system before it. Here is to a strong 2nd half. #Finish.
