not fair to judge this defense, being his first year in without a full off-season to prepare. even if you were wanting to judge it you should be able to see VAST improvements in the d-line and linebacking corps. i want to see head-and-shoulders improvement in the secondary but geeze man, give the guy some time!

That's like hiring a principal at a school that performs well below a standard and expecting every student to make A's by the next year!
Brent was a great hire, prob one of the best hires we've made in a while. It's hard to inherit a mess, lose a lot of your best players, and change the scheme and expect these guys to put up great numbers. IT TAKES TIME! Should we fire Venables, hire someone else and if they don't get the job done, fire them and hire again? You people need to stop whinning...it's one freakin loss to a team that we should have no shame in losing to. I don't wanna hear the 2nd string QB and 3rd string RB crap...guess what, our defense is that bad/young not to mention our game plan was proabably centered around stopping Shaw who didn't see a single snap.
I hope no one listens to the Venable haters...you people will destroy what chance we have to actually get better.
