Zone or Man coverage?

I'm watching the Rose Bowl and Haskins is just picking apart WA zone coverage.

Question, the better the QB, the less effective Zone coverage is? TL would slice them up. Am I missing something?

our DBs have been a weakness at times - am afraid Tua will have success if we don't adjust correctly.

Bama runs alot of crossing routes over the middle and that is where uscjr had some success. I am sure BV has addressed that issue.

There isn’t really a one size fits all answer for this question. If so, BVs job would be a lot easier!

For Tua, I’d feel more comfortable with a zone because of the speed of his WR core. But if they get the run game going, he would kill us with RPOs. The LBs are stuck in no mans land and his receivers are fast enough to get behind them on skinny posts.

So I’d hope we can stuff the run and get pressure on him. Then sit back in a zone with a quick clock. But if they get the run game going, that won’t work.
