Not going to put down this young man now, I wanted him to sign with Clemson. He is still the same player I wanted.

More than just a dunker

Zion does more than dunk. Dunks are only thing that get highlights. I watched him play against Chino Hills last weekend and he can handle the ball, shoot, and pass. I thought he was only a dunking machine too, but very impressed with his overall game. Too bad he’s decided on Duke. I would have liked to see him in orange.

I believe Spartanburg Day plays on ESPN again this week. You will have a chance to see the golden boy again before he goes on to bigger and better things!

ZW scored 42 on the Georgia 5A champion last year
31 against the Alabama 4A finalist
40 against a team from California who went 38-2
27 against a top team from Tennessee
SDS played at 10 games against top public league school last season and were scheduled against Dorman (defending 5A champ) and Byrnes this season.

Plus HS games no longer matter in recruiting or scouting players. It is all AAU and summer circuit balls. Some top players have even skipped their senior HS season to avoid injury after long AAU schedules and early commitments.

Heck ZW has only played 4 games at SDS this season.

Someone told me ZW had played over 500 games since 7th grade against the top AAU teams in the country over the past 5 years.
