Notre Dame should have to forfeit
Nov 8, 2020, 12:13 AM

The University had a responsibility to keep the fans OFF the field and DIDNT.
We can't have our marching band on the field, plus we put our students in the upper so something like this doesn't happen...
Notre Dame couldve just caused half our team to get sick, and possibly caused us to either quarentine our team, or spread covid on our campus.
Fines aren't good enough, the ACC needs to show its not joking around.

Even if they had a set, Swoffie has them painted Carolina Blue.

An ACC with balls, would just tell them no more fans at home games this year.

I saw where Notre Dame was leaving the ACC after tonight so I don’t think they will be disciplined. They got what they needed from the ACC and are moving on. Hit it and quit it - they don’t want a conference title.

That was not a good look for ND. Their students were all bunched together during our last possession too. I hope their Governor gets involved as well.

To quote the Auburn radio announcer after the Kick 6 in the

Iron Bowl a few years ago, "You're not gonna keep them off the field tonight." Emotion overcomes reason in these situations. I hope you are wrong about some or most of our team being exposed or infected due to this. That truly would be a cruel irony coming out of this game.
The only reason I cut them any slack is, this is the first true Contenda they have had since 1988. That's a long time for a "storied" program like the Drinking Irish.

If they get off without any penalty, we shoudl rush the field in Charlotte if we win.

The Panthers have the first 8 rows roped off and jumping from BOA's sidelines, youd break your legs, lol.

I just checked the CDC but could not find anything related to whether Covid-19 can survive in a liquored up college student.

You're kidding, right?

I'm more concerned about the facts that we've had issues getting a push by our O-line to get even a yard and also not getting any pressure on the QB.
Yes, safety! Safety! Safety!
But you don't think we would have done the same thing had we won last night?

Thanks. I kept waiting to read a reasonable reply. Punishing the football field for what the fans did is stupid. As far as I am concerned, let them enjoy it, I doubt it was any more dangerous for our players than a trip to Walmart.

I don’t buy the forfeit comment, but clearly, ND should have protected our players. If this becomes a Covid super spreading event on our team, then we all should be pissed and get a pound of ND flesh.
