Canada vs US covid cases
Jul 7, 2020, 6:08 PM
|
|
The United States has a population density of 35.71 sq. Km
Canada has a population density of about 4 people per square kilometer.
Jmho, but population density probably has more to do with Canada's fewer cases than does their Healthcare system or any measures Canada's government put in place.

they are just different and not a fair comparison

Yeah South Koreans were ORDERED to self isolate. I don't know how well that would work in the states.

Your math is correct but the logic is flawed

It's like comparing the Covid cases in Alaska per capita versus New Jersey. Does the open land in Nunavut change the infection rate in Toronto? Does the open land in Montana change the infection rate in NYC?
Can't wait to see the discussion of Canada's rates versus Greenland's and somehow infer the political response.
You gotta normalize the stats man.

Except I'm not making a political response and also to point out, some experts also have my flawed logic as you call it. Js.

I still think that was Trumps best idea. I’m fully on board with buying Greenland.
Plus it would apparently lower our Covid cases per square mile.

it should be an easy deal, offer every greenlander citizenship with a full federal retirement to vote for statehood
(since we are throwing out trillions now)
not even democrats could not disagree , since federal retirees generally vote D, 2 senators BAM!

Since the stroke, I often don't make a lot of sense when writing.
Somedays I'm fine and other days my grammar/sentence structure is out in left field.

I'd think the demographics probably plays a role. India has half of what the US has in the over 65 category.

They are a country with a much higher mortality rate than the US in every single statistic except Corona Virus deaths.

Well except for cleaner, less crime along with less Covid.
Agreed, the rest of Canada is sparsely populated.
