You will be able to tell quickly how the game is going to go

Sep 28, 2016, 9:13 AM

and the key matchup will be our dline vs their oline. If our ends can hold the edge and not get too far up field and our tackles can get a push up the middle (very likely based on the play so far) then they make LJ into a pocket passer in a pocket that would be closing in around him. If our ends get too far up field, we will have a long night with LJ running in the vacated lanes. Also, they do a lot of misdirection type stuff, so our LB cant fall into the trap of swarming to the flow. We need to replicate what we did with Baker Mayfield and against Auburn and we will be fine. I think our offense will score enough to win if it becomes a game of defense. If it becomes a shoot out, I know we have the capability, but based on our offense thus far I would be concerned.

Clemson has not seen an offense like Louisville's

Louisville has never seen a defense like Clemson's

Should be one of the great games of the year. Venables has top 5 Ds every year. Must really love Clemson because teams have to be calling. I've always said he would leave for Kansas St and that may be it only due to ties to his school.

Problem with that thought is the longer he is at Clemson, family ties get stronger here.

Post was really solid about the d. Keep him contained and Clemson wins

Still cant figure out if UL has a solid D or just played / matched up well against Fla St

I was thinking about how we played Braxton Miller

That was one of the few games where I saw our DE's hold the edge and not try to hard to get around the OT's. I think that's the model, we play like we did in that Orange bowl, we can win

According to their fans on their board...

we haven't seen a defense like theirs too. Their d-line will disrupt our offensive plays with no issue because of our susceptible o-line.
