I'm not sure how I feel about that. If he has a starting position (even at holder) he deserves one. However, we all know from a financial standpoint that he doesn't need one. If you another walk-on on the fence of getting a schollie, would you be ticked?

We have a lot of student-athletes at Clemson on athletic scholarships who come from well off families who can easily afford the tuition. But it’s not about that, it’s about earning the scholarship on the field or court.

You don’t punish a deserving player just because he could afford it. This isn’t a socialist country yet.
