I read the comments Dabo had about the initial rankings. I thought when I read them (Things like, "I don't know what else we can do....") that it didn't sound like Dabo. Reading the transcript it sounded like a guy who was frustrated and even a little mad about the rankings.

Then I clicked on the video and listened and watched him. Totally different. Very positive and upbeat. He was relaxed, joking and just generally having fun talking about the rankings.

Media will life one or two sentences and print them. Readers will be left to insert their own "voice inflection" and most will never actually hear him speak those words.

But, one thing I came away with after watching the comments, is that Dabo is completely focused about the task at hand - winning the next game. Committee rankings and media perception of Clemson are only useful for joke material, not to be taken seriously at all.

"We're in the mix." bret's interpretation: We control our own destiny. If we keep winning, all is fine. If we lose, then all this talk about where we were ranked in the polls doesn't matter.

Agreed - it's also amazing how much one photo showing the person smiling or frowning attached to a written quote can affect how the reader interprets the way that person is saying something. Even if the photo is taken at a completely different time than when the quote was said.
