That is definitely Clemson D's one downfall. Right before OSU got the two PI's back to back I told my neighbor they should've tried some deep passes if they were smart. Hurts doesn't worry me except for creating a little time with legs and finding guys down field.

The problem, even with the PI on the long passes

is that the field shortens when the penalty yards move them forward and, when that happens, you get choked by the defense that does what it does - smother opponents working with a short field.

Seems like our back end has been suspect forever. They definitely hurt us last year in the championship game. Look for Saban to pound Scarboro and bomb our secondary and then rely upon their defense. Watson can beat Bama with his arm but he's going to have to play his best.

Smart DBs, they gave up 15 yards vs touchdowns. Zone D mixed with Blitz will test Bama's young QB because they live off of play action.

Yes they will, and hurts actually throws a nice deep ball from the few games I watched this yr.
