Auburn has always had some nasty D Players...some clean ones though too

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Of course they were to force him to sit out - that new.....

rule's got to be re-examined.

First thing I thought about is so what happens with the

clock running down in the National Championship, star QB X gets his helmet ripped off on third down, and they need to go for it on the big fourth down? Maybe they have put something in with the new rule that addresses a situation like this.

I do!! There should be a n unnecessary roughness on the second.

Sep 1, 2012, 11:05 PM

I think if the players helmet comes off the guy that pulls it off should be penalized and made to sit out as well. I think the rule is stupid and just opens up a can of worms where more neck injuries will come from players trying to rip them off.

First time was a facemask by a defender from behind (upper right side) and then the second time it was pulled off from the back.

100% Correct

Sep 1, 2012, 11:06 PM

How is that not considered a facemask? They were twisting it off in the pile. Saw it at least twice. Brutal!

This new rule might have made football less safe.

That rule is going to be controversial all year.

The last time Boyd sat out for his helmet coming off you could see an eye problem. I bet a finger went in his eye when ripping off the helmet.
