Yeti Coolers?

Sep 6, 2012, 9:41 PM

Somebody who owns one, gimme some info. Are they worth it? Also, does the thick insulation greatly restrict the amount of cans/bottles you can put in one? Any other input would be helpful, thanks

They seem small and for $200 No thanks. But I guess that was the opinion you were looking for.

My brother has one....keeps ice forever but get one a couple of sizes larger because they are so thick the room inside the cooler not like a normal cooler.

Love mine. I've got a 40 qt and it keeps ice for days. As much as I like it, I got it at a discount and I was still on the fence about buying it. Not sure if I'd buy one full price though.

But you can stand on them and they won't tip over!

Brother has a 160qt and a 50qt....

They are really good, expensive, but good. Be prepared to replace the rubber latches after a while.

Worth it depends on your use. Going out fishing for a couple of days? Camping? Long weekend on the Lake? Need longevity, it's worth it. Need it one day a week for tailgates? Probably not the most price effective option.

"Excuse me? I don't go down to your work and tell you how to flip the burger!"

Like folks on here say, Yetis are for long term cold storage, like a camping trip. I don't believe they would be worth the money for tailgating or day trips on a boat...our beer is usually gone before the ice melts.

You can buy a "5 day" cooler for less than $50 that will keep ice as long as most people will ever need. I take one on 4-day camping trips and still have ice, when I get back home. To me, the $200+ price tag is ridiculous for a cooler, even if it wouild keep ice for 2 weeks. who need it?

Don't waste your money!

Thanks for the input folks

May not be perfect for tailgating, but

its gonna last until the coots win the national title. So you wont need to be replacing it anytime soon.
