The best player in the state

Feb 5, 2014, 2:58 PM

Is from Columbia, and he is going to Alabama. Thats gotta suck for them! I can understand though, I'd try to move far away from that dump too

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They look like good prospects but that Hars kid looks

Feb 5, 2014, 3:06 PM [ in reply to Here are the USuC signees ]

Re: Here's the top 20

Feb 5, 2014, 2:48 PM

wow. would have expected us to do a little better in state

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-74tiger.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We didn't need a Q.B.

Feb 5, 2014, 2:51 PM

Otherwise we would have picked up one of the two 4*'s available. The best part is that the Coots do need a Q.B. and struck out on the 2 4* in-state players.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: We didn't need a Q.B.

Feb 5, 2014, 3:02 PM

Haha, more like didn't recruit either of them. We struck out on Kentucky's Drew Barker, who chose to stay at home where he'll see the field a lot sooner. I wish we had gone after Mason Rudolph, the Ok St. signee from SC, though.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yes, I'm sure you didn't want either

Feb 5, 2014, 3:11 PM

Or is it possible that you thought, "No way we lose the Q.B. Spurrier wants to Kentucky" and then when you did, it was too late to get in with either South Carolina Q.B....so you had to go pick up a kid from Florida with a UAB offer.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Yes, I'm sure you didn't want either

Feb 5, 2014, 3:15 PM

Yea I just said that, and I also said that I wish we had gone after Rudolph, the 2nd rated QB in the state. Ok St. just offered him early, and he stuck with his commitment. It's all good though. We'll still have 3 capable QB's just like Clemson will next year, and I'm fine with that.

We didn't offer Park and only looked at Randolph after we missed on Drew. We have 3 good ones in the system and one Spurrier and Mangus like coming in.

Lurch is so good

Feb 5, 2014, 3:37 PM

You guys had to shoot up Shaw at halftime of the Mizzo game and pray that his arm didn't fall off. That should be fun to watch next season.

Re: Lurch is so good

Feb 5, 2014, 9:06 PM

He was good enough to beat you.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

What are you getting at

Feb 5, 2014, 2:54 PM [ in reply to Re: Here's the top 20 ]

should we drop artavis scott or kyrin priester so we can have a wr from sc.

The only place that we are getting hurt instate is OL and I cant figure that out unless Caldwell comes across like a turd in the punch bowl

Several of the top ranked players left the state

Feb 5, 2014, 3:09 PM [ in reply to Re: Here's the top 20 ]

including Christian Miller, Mason Rudolph, Jacob Park, Dexter Wideman, Nolan Kelleher, Blake Bonme and Poona Ford. That's seven of the top ten.

Re: The Bone kid was probably one of the two best and I

Feb 5, 2014, 3:44 PM

don't think that he could have got in Clemson. Kentucky got the steal.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I also find it funny that they are desperate for WR

Feb 5, 2014, 3:48 PM

but couldn't pull in Bone. They did get Davidson. I understand he is an outstanding citizen, at least on the basketball court.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Gee..9 of state's best players to SC & only 3 to Clemson! **
