and if they do, they will be undefeated when they come in here on October 10th.
vs Alcorn State (W 69-6) vs Tulane @ Notre Dame @ Duke vs North Carolina @ Clemson

Yeah, I am starting to worry about them a lot more than FSU

Although both will be tough. I know it was just Alcorn State, but I think they are for real. If their defense is improved. Now they have the missing piece - a QB that can actually complete a pass and some decent receivers. They will be strong. I hope we get the chance to play them twice.

I agree. I fear @Louisville and GT @ home more than ND and FSU.
And last night GT looked strong.

there's a good chance they tech it up and lose in Durham.
But I would love to see both teams undefeated when GT arrives in the Valley.

GT will lose 3 away games in a row. @ND, @ Duke, @ Clemson.
It was alcorn state, people.

I want ND to pull out a win against GT

And by the time Oct 3 rolls around we could both be undefeated and the possible GameDay location. Either one of us lose one before, and the Bama Dawg game probably is the choice.

The bees are the only team on our schedule that really scares me this year. They WILL be undefeated when they come to town. They WILL beat ND handily in South Bowel...I mean Bend.
If they stay healthy, they are gonna be more than a handful when they come to Death Valley. Just plain scary team.

I think GT's blowout is getting too much credit....

WHO is Alcorn State? Not even a respectable FCS program. Hanging 69 points on a barely capable team is not very impressive to me. I think the Tulane game would be a better way to measure their ability, but we will not see what GT is made of until ND.

The more good clips we have of GT the better. Johnson is just too sneaky and unpredictable early in his seasons.
After we watch this game and how our less experienced defenders deal with the trip option we'll know more. I'm hoping it will be confidence building for the guys and for us fans!

Every year I think they will have a significant drop off and every year I'm proven wrong. Just saw Justin Thomas throw an absolute bullet of a pass for a TD. He looks very impressive behind a very strong offensive line. Marcus Marshall appears to be solid at the A-back spot with plenty of speed and size. He's just a freshman too. The running game looks good but it's the passing game that is surprising me the most. Though it was just Alcorn State, the entire unit looks pretty sharp- even special teams. One thing I'm picking up on is they've yet to commit a penalty.
Having said that they still have a pretty tough slate with FSU coming to Atlanta and road games at Clemson and ND. Plus UGA looms at the end of the schedule. Unless VT finds an offense I think we'll see Georgia Tech twice this year. I believe I picked em at #20 in my preseason poll and it's looking like they're better than that. I completely agree with you.

care of business. And the thing about Tech is they are usually notoriously show starters. I hope we come out like that tomorrow.

and they looked unstoppable. The running game is impressive, looked like they picked up where they left off in the Orange Bowl. They may have just as a good a chance as anyone right now.
