Yankees and Dodgers

Sure am hoping the Yankees beat Houston in game 7 today as I want to see the best match-up in all of US pro sports - the Yankees and the Dodgers in the World Series. Can't get better than that (even though I'm a Braves fan).

The closest thing to this is the Celtics and the Lakers in the NBA Finals.

It's been a while, but like you said a Dodgers vs. Yankees world series would be awesome.

The last time The Dodgers made it to the world series, I was in the 2cnd grade. I still remember my best friend getting a dodgers jacket and being envious of how "cool" he looked in it. Good times.

Actually, I forgot after 1981 they won it again in 1988 with Orel Hershiser. My bad.

I don't remember which year it was. They played each other. In game 7 (I think it was), Reggie Jackson swung the bat three times and hit three home runs - have never seen anything like it before or since. The Yankees ending up winning the Series.

off Dennis Eckersley to beat the A's in game 1, there some cars were piling out of the parking lot supposedly while he was rounding the bases. That's what Trey Wingo said. I bet those people never admit that they missed it. Anyway, top few sports moments.

would be an amazing matchup for classic teams and ratings. I also would rather the Dodgers the Yankees, because I think they would be easier to beat than the Stros.

Personally VERY HAPPY Yankees lost to Houston and really hate that the Dodgers are in the World Series.
